Wright State: My New Home

Wright State is an awesome school.  There are many reasons why I chose it as my new home.  I first heard about the school from a girl that used to go to my high school.  She kept talking about how nice WSU's campus was and how much she wanted to go there.  Once I heard that, I scheduled a tour to see Wright State.  When I arrived, everyone was very friendly and welcoming.  This gave me a good feeling.  Once we started the tour, I noticed that everything was very up-to-date and modern.  I loved how everything looked so nice and clean and how it wasn't too big, but not tiny either.  When I seen the dorms out at The Woods, I pretty much had my heart set on Wright State.  They were really big (for a dorm) and had a bathroom that you didn't have to share with multiple people that you didn't know.  After I was done with my visit, I didn't look or search for any other school.  I knew Wright State was for me.  Another good thing about going to Wright State is that it is only 40-45 minutes away from my hometown: not too close, but not too far away either.  I love the decision that I made as to going to Wright State and I will never regret it!

Wide Open Spaces

One song that really relates to my life right now is an old song called "Wide Open Spaces" by The Dixie Chicks.  It is a country song that just about anyone listens to, young or old.  Mostly women and young girl teenagers listen to the song more though.  It is a video and cd, whichever one you prefer.  The song is about a girl moving on to a new life style and how she needs new, wide, open spaces.  The girl's attitude is sad that she is leaving, but is happy because of the new life she is starting for herself.  This songs really relates to me because I just moved on to a new part of my life- college.  I was very upset to leave my parents because I have been part of them for 18 years.  On the other hand though, I was very happy to meet new people, live by myself, and start off a new great life for myself.  This song makes me sing as loud as I can because it relates to me so well at this point right now.  It not only relates to me, but to my momo because in the song it says "Mom stares out the window and says, "I'm leaving my girl."  It was a coincidence, but my mom said the exact words when I left for my move in day at Wright State.  I have listened to this song every day just to remember my mom and dad and my new start to a terrific life.

About To Pull Out My Hair!!

Oh my gosh!  College is already so stressful and it is only my 2nd day of class.  So far, I have no idea what is going on in any of my classes.  There is so much information to take in that I can't remember any of it!!! Ahhhh! But that is only one of my problems.  I also have so much homework! On my first day of class, I already had 10 homework assignments! geesh! 5 for Psychology, 1 for my learning community, 1 for my History class, and 3 for English!!! I'm really not used to this.  Now, they aren't all due on the same day, but that is still a lot of homework.  I really hope that I get used to doing all of this.  I still can't find my classes either.  I look like a crazy person running around, asking people where to go.  And on top of all this, I have to get a job.  Somehow I will seem to work it out though.  I always do. It is just very frustrating to me.  If anyone has any tips on how to schedule all my stuff, get it done, and still be successful, let me know!!  Hopefully I will still have hair after college.  :)
